About Hrvoje Jakopčević

I have been fishing since I was 4 years old, but I began carp fishing around 2005. Since then, I have become renowned for my outstanding achievements in competitive fishing. Together with my fishing partner Dalibor Banaj, we have secured a total of 9 medals at the FIPSED World Carp Championships, making us one of the most successful pairs in the history of the sport. We are recognised as two of Croatia’s most decorated anglers and have played a pivotal role in raising the country’s profile in international sport fishing. Our dedication and skill continue to inspire both fellow anglers and the broader fishing community.

Beyond competitions, I have also enjoyed success in catching large carp in Croatia and other European countries, including Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and France. One of my most memorable fishing experiences was visiting the Norton Disney complex in the UK, where I caught my first British carp.
