About Tommie van den Akker

I live in Oisterwijk (Netherlands) with my girlfriend and two children. My fishing at home consists of one night a week fishing on sparsely populated circuit waters with high fishing pressure. These waters are generally between 1 and 12 hectares in size. The thrill of catching that one top fish swimming in such waters gives me the ultimate satisfaction. Mainline makes a big contribution with its attractive, high-quality bait, which often allows me to catch my fish in a short time. The Cell is my favourite.

 

My foreign fishing consists of two trips a year (ranging from three to seven days) to waters in Belgium, France, Croatia or Italy. For my family life, I used to fish in public waters, but nowadays I fish in commercial waters. This is because of my lack of time, as I can be sure of a spot when I am able to go. These must be waters that offer a challenge. Once the children are older, I want to take up public fishing abroad again.
